I can't decide what the advantages are with going with the New CATV2400Plus verses the CATV2400.
In a nutshell, the main difference beyond the cosmetics are features that make the CATV2400Plus much easier and simpler to use. For those people that are barely able to operate the kitchen toaster, the CATV2400Plus would be better suited.
The CATV2400Plus eliminates the need to manually synchronize RF frequencies between both the transmitter and receiver units so that both units can talk to each other. Now when you change the frequency on one unit, the frequency automatically changes on both.
For people with older TV sets, the NEW Angeltrax CATV2400Plus is a better fit with its' new coax output feature. This is an issue that was addressed with this new model, many people had older TV’s that did not have RCA connectors... their TV sets only had the screw on coax cable connector. In the past these customers would have had to purchase a separate converter to use their TV sets with the Angeltrax receiver, this is no longer the case.
I know that Angeltrax builds the most reliable wireless TV kit, but just how easy is it to install for someone who does not do very well with electronic gizmos?
The Angeltrax CATV2400Plus is pretty simple to install. After opening the box, you can quickly review the installation guide to familiarize yourself with the equipment. You will then screw your existing cable into the built-in splitter, which will allow you to split your existing cable feed to your Angeltrax transmitter without affecting your main TV’s signal.
Once you screw the cable into the back of the transmitter, and plug in the power cable… you will then install the receiver onto the TV of your choice.
You can either install the receiver by plugging in the RCA connectors into you TV, or on older models you can attach it just like a cable or antenna via the coax connection. That’s all there is to it really, pretty quick and easy.
Multiple System Set-Up (Advanced Set-Up)
The CATV2400 and CATV2400PLUS Wireless Cable TV Systems are designed to be used in applications
where more than one system is needed. There are two different applications and a solution for each.
1. If you have two or more locations where a wireless TV solution is needed and those locations are not
used simultaneously, then all you need is one complete system and multiple receivers. All receivers will
display the same channel.
2. If you have two or more locations where a wireless TV solution is needed and those locations are
used simultaneously, then you will need complete systems to keep all wireless systems completely independent.
Note: Each system comes with 4 RF channels. When using multiple systems for independent applications,
the systems must be on different RF channels and you must turn “Synchronization” OFF in the on screen menu.
How does the IR Remote Extender function work?
Ok, if you are using a Digital Cable or Digital Sat. system then you will need to hook into the feed coming out of your set top box used with your digital system. The IR glass eye will then allow you to control the channels and functions on said set top box through the angeltrax remote tv system, using the original remote. This applies to devices such as TIVO as well.

My Angeltrax remote control doesn't want to work, how do I fix this?
1. To troubleshoot your Angeltrax remote, first point the remote at the red
dot on the Angeltrax receiver, which is located between RF-3 and RF-4 markings
on the face of the Angeltrax receiver. Now press the TV/AV button a few times
to see if you can change the top LED on the Angeltrax receiver properly. If
you can, the remote control device itself is should be working. If not, open
the battery compartment of the remote, roll the batteries with your thumb, and
try again.
2. The Angeltrax receiver sends a radio signal to the Angeltrax transmitter
unit for the remote control function. This radio signal could be interfered
with.
To avoid the possibility of blocking or interfering with this signal:
- Do not place receiver on metal or against metal
- Do not place transmitter on metal or against metal (have a 12inch space
between the Angeltrax transmitter and receiver from any metal to prevent possible
antenna de-tuning.
- Do not place near any large aquariums for this will de-tune the Angeltrax
antenna
3. The next thing to try is to move the Angeltrax transmitter a few inches
in any direction or rotate the unit up to 90 degrees… now give the remote a
try again. This can be done with the receiver as well.
4. Extremely flexible, pliable coaxial cables indicate poor shielding. Replace
your flexible coaxial cable with a stiffer cable for better radio shielding.
Channel 53 will interfere with the 433 MHZ radio signal if allowed to get outside
of the coaxial cable.
5. Disconnect the cable out cable on your Angeltrax transmitter and try the
remote, if this resolves the issue and you still need an extra cable output,
you will need to purchase a cheap cable splitter at Radio Shack to split your
cable into two feeds (rare but sometimes resolves the issue).
